PICKENS HOME ON FISCHER ST
THIS IS THE RENOVATED HOME AFTER A FIRE,
THE PICKENS HOME. THE ELDER MR. PICKENS WAS A LONG TIME RESIDENT AND FOR SOME TIME THE ONLY PLUMBER IN TOWN. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT MR. PICKENS HAD LOST IS LEFT ARM IN AN ACCIDENT, THE OTHER FACT WAS THAT MR. PICKENS WAS THE FINEST OF PIANO TUNERS AND WAS A MAGNIFICENT PLAYER OF THE PIANO AND WOULD PLAY THE MUSIC WRITTEN FOR ONE HAND. WHEN HE CAME TO TUNE THE PIANO HE WOULD COME DRESSED IN A TUXEDO AND WEARING A TOP HAT. A FINE FINE GENTLEMAN FATHER OF THREE BOYS AND ONE DAUGHTER.
